Some love stories come full circle, and Christi and Ryder's wedding day was the perfect example.
These two chose to keep things simple and meaningful with an intimate Charlotte courthouse wedding at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse before heading to one of the most special neighborhoods in the city for their wedding portraits—NoDa, the place where their love story began.
As a Charlotte courthouse wedding photographer, these are the kinds of wedding days I absolutely love documenting. Every location held significance, every portrait felt personal, and every stop throughout NoDa represented a chapter of their relationship.

A Beautiful Charlotte Courthouse Wedding
Christi and Ryder exchanged vows during a simple ceremony at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse in Uptown Charlotte. With the excitement of becoming newlyweds and the city skyline surrounding them, their wedding day was filled with genuine emotion and joy.
One of the things I love most about courthouse weddings in Charlotte is how relaxed and intentional they feel. Couples are able to focus completely on each other and celebrate without the stress of a large wedding day timeline.
After officially becoming husband and wife, we headed to NoDa for a wedding portrait session that felt uniquely them.
Wedding Photos in NoDa, Charlotte
For Christi and Ryder, NoDa wasn't just a beautiful backdrop—it was where their relationship grew and where many of their favorite memories were made together.
We started by exploring the colorful streets of NoDa, one of Charlotte's most vibrant and artistic neighborhoods. Known for its murals, local businesses, and creative atmosphere, NoDa provides some of the best locations for wedding and elopement portraits in Charlotte.
The neighborhood's colorful artwork, brick buildings, and urban charm created the perfect setting for candid and romantic photographs.
Wooden Robot Brewery Rooftop Portraits
One of the highlights of the afternoon was visiting the rooftop at Wooden Robot Brewery.
The rooftop offered incredible views of the city while allowing Christi and Ryder to revisit one of the places that had become part of their story together. The relaxed atmosphere and skyline views made for some of my favorite images from the day.
Smelly Cat Coffeehouse & NoDa Memories
NoDa wouldn't be complete without a stop near Smelly Cat Coffeehouse, one of the neighborhood's most iconic local spots.
As we wandered through the area, Christi and Ryder shared stories about their relationship and the memories they had built together throughout NoDa. It made every photograph feel even more meaningful.
The combination of colorful murals, local landmarks, and authentic moments created a gallery that truly reflected who they are as a couple.
